Korphu Drup: Success through collaboration.
Korphu lhakhang which is also known as "lhundup choedhar" stands majestically on the hill, overlooking the Nabji valley. It falls under Trongsa dzongkhag.
Orally transcended history says that the temple was built in 15th century after being prophesied by the great tertoen (treasure discoverer) Pema Lingpa.
Every year on 15th day of 11th month according to lunar calendar, Drup(tshechu) commences coinciding with the birth aniversary of the founder, the great tertoen Pema Lingpa. Six days long tshechu has the collective involvement of villagers, gewog officials, civil servants, monks, gomchens, and most importantly there use to be an active participation of youth. The youth take part in different fields of work as per their expertise: mask dancers, dancers, server, cooks, cleaners and so forth.
As in earlier year, this year's programe was also successful with a collaborative effort from everyone involved. And I cherish the success for I have also been able to give my small service in it.
