Hope for Leprosy Warriors – Food & Togetherness
Guided by the Scout motto “Be Prepared” and the principle of service before self, we chose 21st February to express our respect not only for languages but also for humanity. Our inspiration was to promote dignity, equality, and brotherhood by standing with 40 leprosy patients and sharing moments of care and compassion.
21st February, International Mother Language Day, we organized a food distribution program for 40 leprosy patients. After proper planning and arranging hygienic food packets, our team visited the location and distributed meals respectfully. We also spent quality time interacting with them, sharing conversations and spreading smiles. The initiative promoted compassion, dignity, and social inclusion.
Through this project, we learned the true meaning of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility. Interacting with leprosy patients helped us understand the impact of stigma and the importance of inclusion. We realized that service is not only about giving food but also about sharing respect and time. The experience strengthened our teamwork, leadership, and humanitarian values.
