Empowering Youth Scouts to Eliminate Local Hunger

"Hunger is not a issue of scarcity; it is a issue of human solidarity."
Scouts identified vulnerable individuals and beggars at the local railway station to conduct a direct food distribution drive. Youth volunteers safely prepared, packaged, and delivered fresh, nutritious meals directly to those in need, while promoting hygiene awareness and fostering community dignity to advance the SDG 2 Zero Hunger goal.
Serving meals at the railway station taught me that hunger erodes human dignity. Direct action showed that youth can create immediate relief, bridge societal gaps, and foster empathy. I learned that ending food insecurity requires consistent compassion, community action, and treating every individual with respect to build true peace.
