Disaster Prepardness and Management Course

The National Disaster Preparedness and Management Training course for Sr. S.G.R.R was held at Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal, MP. In which 110 participants from 14 States participated namely , AP, Delhi, H.P., KVS, M.P., N.W. Rly, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, S.E. Rly, Tripura, U.P., Western Rly and W.C. Raly. The camp was conducted under the leadership of R.K. Kaushik duly assisted by Mr. Prakash Disouriya, (SOC) M.P., Mr. R.C. Rana, LT(s), Mr. Gajraj Singh,(DOC) , Ms. Ritu Sharma, (DOC) Rajasthan, Gaurav Shukla (District secretary) Bhopal & Rameshwar Dayal warden from M.P. The course started with the flag ceremony on 5th oct. On the second day of the camp we had inauguration by Director of DMI, Bhopal Mr Rakesh Dubey. First of all objective of the camp was told by Mr R.K. Kaushik, after wards fundamentals, message and reporting, free being me, was dealt by the staff. On the third day of the camp, all the participants visited D.M.I. Bhopal and attended a session with Mr. Saurabh,Asst. Director of DMI in which he informed the participants about all types of disasters like natural and manmade. He also told the techniques to rescue and manage and how to be prepared for sudden disaster. The DMI provided two buses for transportation and also a delicious lunch to all the participants. After that we went to the cell of state disaster emergency respond force where the team gave us demonstration of all the equipments necessary for a disaster cell. The day ended with the great performances by the participants at the camp site in camp fire. On the fourth day session on of MOP was held where all the about 100 participants(including earlier registered) were registered as messenger of peace by Mr Prakash Disoriya and Ritu sharma. The whole process was told tothem about uploading their works and how to connect with others at global level. To acknowledge bomb Squard, we called an expert like Mr Sandeep Tiwari who provided all the details for bomb accidents and the safety. After that a session with civil defense team under the leadership of Mr. Pillai, Company Commander, Home Guard, who taught all the instant methods of rescue in detail. On the fifth day morning we had an interesting session with Mr. Randeep Singh Jaggi about first aid. Later Mr Sajid Khan fire officer came with his team and demonstrated the students how the fire brigade works. In the afternoon, all the participants were given pioneering projects needed at rescue which they completed till the night. We ended the day with the session of surf smart in which all the information about Internet Safety & Security were given to the participants. On the sixth day of the camp we organized a rally for swaach bharat sundar bharat, which was Flagged off by Col. H.K. Dubey, EME, Army Centre, Bhopal. All the participants were provided Mask and hand globs by the Civil Hospital. They took a round in the locality of Gandhi Nagar and picked up all the polythene and papers from the road and guided the local people about the cleanliness. The local people distributed Biscuits, chocolate and cold water to all. After lunch Stop The Violence session was taken by Ms Ritu Sharma, who discussed all type of violence exists in India and emphasis all the participants to take precautions and help to stop such violence. The grand camp fire was organised in the evening where all the states performed their folk dances and skits on disaster management. On the last day of the camp at 7 am all faith prayer was organized and LOC announced the closing of the camp with lowering the flag. During the camp we had four birthday celebrations of participants and staff Jyoti a Ranger from kota, on 9th Mr R.C. Rana, on 10th Vishnu a rover from Rajasthan n on 11th guide from Tripura. All the participants were very happy with the contents and method of the course.
