Cycling for a Better World
Last December 22nd, I joined my scout friends for a cycling event we called "Cycling for a Better World." We rode 20km from Rajuk Uttara Model College to Teromukh Bridge in Gazipur. The idea was to show how cycling can help the planet by cutting down on pollution and saving fuel. It wasn’t just about the environment, though—it was also a chance for us to have a good time together. We all felt proud knowing our ride could inspire others to make small changes for a cleaner world.
Preparing for the event took a lot of effort and teamwork. We spent weeks picking a safe route, checking our bikes, and practicing for the long ride ahead. On the big day, we packed water, snacks, and even a first aid kit just in case. The ride itself was tough, especially near the end when our legs felt heavy, but we kept cheering each other on. When we finally rolled up to Teromukh Bridge, we were exhausted but bursting with joy and high-fives.
That cycling day taught me some big lessons I’ll never forget. I found out I could push myself harder than I thought, especially with friends by my side lifting my spirits. It made me feel stronger, more confident, and ready to take on new challenges. I also learned how much teamwork matters and why we need to look after our planet. Now, I’m excited for more scout adventures where we can keep making a difference together!
