Cleaning-up Hong Kong after Mangkhut

Cleaning-up Hong Kong after Mangkhut

Typhoon Mangkhut roared into Hong Kong in early September, leaving a trail of destruction that take months to fully recover from. Tree pieces and trash are all over the place, blocking major roads and common areas. Hong Kong Island Region of the Scout Association of Hong Kong initiated this campaign encouraging scout groups of the area to arrange services to the community in cleaning-up after Mangkhut destruction. Many scouts, including youth members and leaders, helped clearing tree pieces and trash from the sea all over our scout centres and major trails so that they could be opened for the community soonest possible.
