Everyone talks about trash here and there but without collective effort we will never achieve waste free Bhutan. Animals leave nothing but their footprints but most civilized species (human) on earth leaves nothing but trash. The day after the conclusion of three day Tshechu at Shakshing, it was sore to see trashes being left and not cared at all by the stall/shop owners just making the surrounding a complete mess. It was disheartening to see what the shopkeepers had left after they made their pockets fat. On 20th October 2019, Y-VIA Tsenkharla, provided one day voluntary service to the Goempa to clean up the surroundings. A total of 19 volunteers participated in carrying out the cleaning around the Lhakhang and its premises.

"It's is not my waste but it's my country. Our waste, Our Responsibility. Let's keep our Community Clean. "
