Celebrating Diversity in Unity
The inclusion initiative of the World Scout Movement tricker us to organise this activity to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Scout Association of Hong Kong.
It was implemented in Hong Kong, Tai Tam Campsite and Kai Yip Centre. It was conducted with the support of Scout Leaders, Social Workers, and youth Scout members, along with volunteers from ethnic minority background.
300 participants of this event and at least another 300 as all participant has to share the gift they have received in this event to a person in need.
Never underestimate what could be achieved by our youth members.We doubted the effectiveness of some activity ideas gave up with our youth members.Fortunately, the committee decided to take it on and provide extra support to mitigate the risks,and the activities turned out very well.
The commitment of non-uniform volunteers could be as effective as scouts.With the input of local non-uniform kids,this event was a success.The volunteers also creative recruitment opportunities for the Association.
