Bunandzi Bemanti
Boschrand day care centre is situated in a rural area called Phumlani village where most parents are unemployed. The centre currently accommodates 85 children and has inadequate resources to cater for all the needs of the children. The Scouts decided to carry out a number of projects that will make the life of the children at the centre easier.
The first project was to install a water tank, in the village there are times when there is no water for a number of days. The Scouts recognise the importance of children to always have access to clean drinking water, which helps to lower health risks. They started by building a water stand, and installing a water tank, finishing off by filling it with water.
