Awareness and Strengthening of Implemented Activities on Reduction of Forest Loss

"To walk in nature is to witness a thousand of miracles" - Mary Davis Most of the time, when we hear the word scout it is undeniable that nature is always associated with this name. When we say scout, it is always involves being in touch with nature. Being nature-friendly and showing the character of being a true steward of God's creation. But in our modern day, destruction is what we all done to our Mother Nature. The project entitled: "Awareness and Strengthening of Implemented Activities on Reduction of Forest Loss" will help us to reduce dangers and destructions that are happening to our nature. One of the most important part of our nature is our forests. It is where most of our oxygen is coming from. It is also where habitats of animals can be found. Without it, there will be an imbalance in our ecosystem that will result to a danger to all life on Earth. With the help of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, an awareness will continue to spread to all places. This awareness will shows the great need of our Mother Nature to us. In line with this, there are many implemented projects especialli tree planting activities that shall help the reduction of forest loss. But unfortunately this projects is properly execute which results to the uneffectiveness of the project. The Boy Scouts of the Philippines, lead by the Night High School Scouts of La Salle College Antipolo, will be having a seminar with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) which will be happening in a form of jamboree. The seminar will contain knowledge about the proper way of planting trees just like the kind soil, the type of plants and the kinds of trees. This knowledge is very important so that the tree planting will be effective because it will grow as it was done in a proper way. Just like what others are saying "the more, the merrier". It is not just the BSP that will act on this project, but as well as the youth especially students from different schools. The Boy Scouts will be proposing a module where in tree planting will be a part of the activities that should be done in schools. This will happen with the help of the Department of Education (DepED), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Local Government Units (LGU's), and Non-Government Units (NGO's). The DepEd will help in the approving of the module for all the local schools while the LGU's will provide the land where in the tree planting will be executed. The DENR will provide the seedlings and samplings to be used in the project and the NGO's will be providing the funds of this project. The Boy Scouts, especially the NHS Scouts, will be leading the youth/students on how the planting should be done. They will a the guide as they already have the knowledge that they also gathered from the seminar they have. Nature is life. As a steward of God, we are all oblige to be part of taking care of our nature. Right now, our nature is experiencing a lot of damages that is, sad to say, was also created by us. There are many ways of helping our nature overcome this tragedt. By joining different projects that can help to heal our nature, everyone can help to bring back the beauty that it once have. #NatureShouldBeLoved #StewardsOfGodUnite #WeWillCauseWeCan #BoyScoutsOfLSCA #NightHighSchoolScouts
