At the initiative of the 16th South Kolkata India Scouts and Guides (Khidirpur Academy) Group, we went to Shyamnagar Village No. 1 (Booth No. 192) in Kultali Block on 02.08.2020 (Sunday). With the huge cooperation of all we have delivered a bio toilet as per our plan, one and a half centuries old children's educational equipment such as books, notebooks, pencils, erasers, pencil cutters In the hands of the people of the village as a sign of our collective good wishes.
About 2 km away from the first destination we got out of the car because there was no possibility of driving to our first destination i.e. that primary school. The condition of the road is very bad due to the last natural calamity. We reach our destination in two vans with a paved road. At the initiative of the local master Shri Kamal Kant Haldar, the boys of the village took us to our destination responsibly. Elementary school children and their parents and guardians were waiting for us. We first hand out the contents to the little ones without waiting. Under the supervision of Kamalbabu, we then handed over some food items and daily use items to the parents and guardians. Then we set off for our second destination. There we replace the bio toilet. Under the leadership of local youth Gautam and with the help of the villagers, we were able to replace the bio toilets. We then make the villagers aware of the use of bio toilets. Even in the scorching sun and heat, we do everything from determination to smoothness. We are grateful to the villagers for their cooperation, we are grateful to Mastermashai Kamalbabu for the way he arranged everything for the boys of the village.
