Md. Aminul Islam, Secretary of Rajshahi Regional Scouts, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on July 11, 2020 infected with Corona Virus Covid-19. Inna lillahi wa Inna ilayhi raji'un. Director General (Additional Secretary) of Bogura Rural Development Academy (RDA) Aminul Islam has died from coronavirus at Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital on 11 July, 2020 Saturday morning. He was undergoing treatment at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). RMC Hospital Deputy Director Saiful Ferdous confirmed the matter. He gave samples on June 22 at TMSS in Bogura and test positive for the virus on June 23. Initially, he was receiving treatment at his bungalow at the RDA Center. He was later admitted to RMC Hospital on June 29 after his condition deteriorated. Aminul Islam became the administration cadre of the eighth batch of BCS on December 20, 1989. In his long career, he has served as Additional Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi, Director of Local Government Division of Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Food, DC of Sirajganj and UNO Natore Sadar. On February 6, 2019, Aminul Islam joined the Bogura Rural Development Academy (RDA) as the Director General. Aminul Islam was closely associated with social movement scouting activities. He was a leading trainer of the Scouts. He has been serving as the Regional Secretary of Rajshahi Region of Bangladesh Scout for the past five years. He has won the National Certificate Award of Scouts, Medal of Merit, Bar to the Medal, Chief National Commissioner Award and was nominated for the Silver Hilsa Award.
