[ Taiwan ] Scouting events restart during Covid-19
[Scouting events restart during Covid-19 in Taiwan] Many countries are hit by Covid-19 and we are trying to recover from the disease and lockdown.
Since the end of 2019, the disease came whipping. Taiwan has successfully curbed the epidemic thanks to its quick reaction and sound management - The death toll has been controlled under 10 so far, and the outbreak has not been spotted for more than 2 months.
To get back into the swing of things, Taiwan has implemented a series of new measures following its 130 pandemic-prevention policies.
People are allowed to go out and join public activities as long as they follow instructions to keep safe and clean. Examples are, a 1.5-meter distance from others should be respected, or wear a mask when this is not possible.
People are more cautious about their health situations and that of their families and friends. Stay At Home, Save Lives is not a mere slogan anymore. Sun-Fun Scouts Group has not gathered its scouts for 4 months during the combat. Today, parents were happy to bring their children to us again!
Before this awaited group meeting day, Sun-Fun Scouts Group did an online survey to follow the health situation, as well as travel and contact history of their scouts. Scouts have to wash their hands and take temperature before attending the event. All prevention measures were in place for this meeting!
This special meeting was mainly about How To Live Differently After the Pandemic. Scouts gathered to express their gratitude to the care staff and all those who helped fighting the disease in the past few months.
They also learned various rules of etiquette for cough, masks, personal hygiene, social distancing, etc.
Scouting is still interesting and educative.
As always, everyone enjoyed scouting!
