The Social Forestry Day coinciding with Great 4th's Coronation day was celebrated in Tsenkharla Central School, Trashi Yangtse. The day began with lighting of butter lamps and singing Zhabtoen paying tribute to the fourth Druk Gyalpo.
A total of 330 saplings ( cherry, walnut, pine, chirpine, monkey apple, jacaranda, avacado) were planted to mark the day.
The day event was organized by Mr. Karma Loday (GVC Tsenkharla) and Mr. Karma Tenzin (Nature Club Coordinator) in collaboration with Global Village Connect: Bhutan for Greener Earth initiative.
