Practical on First Aid for Disaster
What inspired you to take up the project?
I was inspired to start the First Aid Practical workshop after realizing how unprepared many people are during emergencies and disasters. Witnessing accidents and natural calamities made me understand the importance of quick, informed action to save lives. I wanted to empower individuals with hands-on skills and confidence to respond effectively in critical moments. This project is driven by a vision of building a safer, more resilient community.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
Throughout this project, I learned the importance of preparation, teamwork, and clear communication during emergencies. I realized that practical skills are just as vital as theoretical knowledge when responding to disasters. Organizing the workshop taught me how to manage logistics, engage participants, and adapt to unexpected challenges. Most importantly, I understood that empowering others with life-saving skills creates a stronger, safer community.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
To execute my First Aid Practical workshop, I began by outlining clear objectives focused on disaster preparedness and life-saving skills. I collaborated with health professionals and local emergency responders to design hands-on training sessions tailored to real-life scenarios. The venue was arranged with all necessary equipment and first aid tools. During the workshop, we conducted interactive demonstrations, group activities, and mock drills to ensure everyone gained practical experience.
