A Little Effort, A Cleaner School

During the primary students’ carnival at our school, I took part in a paper-picking and cleaning activity. The carnival was a joyful event where many primary students gathered to enjoy different activities and performances. After and during the event, waste papers, wrappers, and other small pieces of litter were scattered around the school ground. As a volunteer, I worked with other students to collect the waste and put it into the proper waste bins. We carefully checked the ground, corners, and areas where students had gathered. Everyone cooperated and helped one another to complete the work. At first, the work seemed simple, but I realized that keeping a large area clean requires teamwork and responsibility. I felt happy and proud because our effort helped create a cleaner and safer environment for the primary students, teachers, and visitors. This activity taught me the importance of cleanliness, cooperation, discipline, and community service. I also learned that we should not wait for others to clean our surroundings. Every person has a responsibility to protect the environment. Overall, paper picking at the carnival was a meaningful experience. It taught me that even a small act of service can make a positive difference in our school and community.
