The Scouts Unit of Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School Under Thimphu Thromde, Bhutan proudly organized a meaningful celebration of the International Day of Peace on September 21, 2025, to promote the values of unity, non-violence, and harmony among students. The event was held with the theme: ''Act Now for a Peaceful World'' The main objectives behind celebrating International Day of Peace are: 1.To raise awareness about the importance of peace in today’s world. 2.To encourage students to become peace-builders in their communities. 3.To showcase the role of Scouts in promoting peace through service and leadership. The celebration began with a brief introduction by the Scout leader , followed by the talk on Importance of IDP by the Scout Captains. A group of Scouts also presented a peace song, spreading a message of hope and harmony through music. In the evening we had cleaning campaign to create awareness in the school and in the community. The celebration was a resounding success, filled with energy, reflection, and a strong commitment to peace. Through various creative and symbolic activities, the Scouts of Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School, reminded everyone that peace is not just an ideal, but a daily practice. The event inspired students and teachers alike to carry forward the message of peace in their lives, communities, and the world.
