INVESTITURE OF HON CHUKWUMA UMEOJI AS THE PRESIDENT OF AGUATA SCOUT DIVISION. The investiture of Rt. Hon Sir Chukwuma umeoji as the president of Aguata scout Council took place today at his country home ,Ezinifite Aguata. During the short ceremony, Hon Sir Chukwuma umeoji, took an oath of allegiance and pledged to obey all the scout laws of Anambra State scout Council, and equally pledged his loyalty to the patron of Anambra State scout Council, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano and president of Anambra State scout Council, Justice N. C Umeadi. In his acceptance speech, Hon Sir Chukwuma umeoji described scout as a disciplined and an all encompassing organization. Speaking further, he said that scout is a gender sensitive organization and is in line with the Supreme Court judgement ,that stressed the equality of both girls and boys especially in Igbo culture, that marginalises the girl child. According to Hon umeoji, the motto of boys scout is "be prepared ",and applying this principle to politics, it means that every leader must be prepared for both challenges and criticism. He urged everyone to get th their PVC and vote in elections. Finally, he predicted that by next year, scout will be a household name in every nook and cranny of Aguata local government. Highpoint of the occasion, was the presentation of the certificate Award to Hon Chukwuma umeoji by the state commissioner Anambra State scout Council, Hon Prince Levi Ezeudogu.
