“Zero Waste” is an Environmental conservation program organized by Sri Lanka Scout Association with the support of Messengers of Peace initiative of World Organization of Scout Movement. The Project was mainly designed to educate general public in selected municipal areas of all districts on proper waste management techniques and 5R concepts.
 
Moreover the project will be executed by teams of 100 trained scouts in all 37 scout districts on 1st, 2nd and 3rd November and the scouts will be given a proper training prior to the project on education of the general public along with distribution of an informative Leaflet specially designed for the project in Sinhalese and Tamil Languages.
 
The Introductory workshop of the "Zero Waste" project for the District Coordinators &  District Commissioners will be held on 12th October 2019 from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm at Hilton Colombo Residencies (3rd Floor)
