Dialogue for Peace workshop for the Africa Region kicks off in Harare
Participants from 17 different NSO’S in the African region today started the Dialogue for Peace training work shop in Harare, Zimbabwe. The participants drawn from all the 5 zones in the African region will for the next 3 days be taught on how to participate and facilitate different dialogue sessions in different scenarios.
The training targeted young people under 30 to be the ambassadors of Dialogue and non-violent solutions towards the different challenges facing them not only in the scouting context but also in their daily lives.
The Dialogue for Peace training that has been greatly promoted by the close working relationship of WOSM & KAICIID Dialogue center seeks to create a world that embraces dialogue, inclusivity and tolerance to the different shared & unshared values in the world. To understand the concept of living together in harmony in the reality of today’s constant challenges & differences.
After the training they are expected to be fully equipped with the relevant skills to lead dialogue sessions back at home and to support other young people to also be able to subscribe to the values they have been taught.
