Better world frame was an 8-day online webinar consisting of 2 phases (4 days each) where we all were briefed about the various ways in which can work together and make this Earth a better place to live in for the upcoming generations. A vast amount of knowledge on the various types of badges. That will help us to do bring a change in the world.
WEBINAR NO.1(5th August 2020)
The session was started by a few introductory speeches from the officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. We were briefed about the purpose of better world framework, its definition, how it has brought about a positive change, the Youth Dialogue,How wearing mask, washing hands, digital shopping regularly sanitizing etc has changed into the new normal during the pandemic and finally we were given the process on how to know more about Better World Framework.
WEBINAR NO.2(6th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. We were told about the 3 great people who launched messengers of peace initiative:-Majesty King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and World scout foundation. We were told about what peace is, how to achieve it and also that any change which we want to see needs to start from us. Them we were briefed on what messengers of peace is and abouts its 4 stages which has 3 elements which were educational programmes, network, funds and recognition. Lastly we were given the steps on how to create account, upload projects and also how to write a story.
WEBINAR NO.3(7th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. It was about champion for nature challenge and world tribe challenge. We were briefed on what Earth tribe is, what it aims for, Its objectives and the 5 steps that we need to consider which included individual, Learning path, educational institutions, recognition & activities. Then we were given the steps on how can we become a tribe member and what all activities we can become a part of once we become the tribe member.
WEBINAR NO.4(8th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. We were given a talk on the 5 P’ which are Prosperity, Peace, People, Partnership and Planet. The 3 ways to endure proper working of SDG’s: Inspire, Enable and deliver. We were told about some efforts taking place and then a talk of TICKET TO LIFE was given. In the talk the harships of street children were discussed as well as how we can encourage and provide them ways to plan their lives. They have 2 units: one in Punjab and other in Northern Railway. Finally we were given a brief on the activities undertaken by both the units of TICKET TO LIFE.
WEBINAR NO.5(17th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. We were then told about the Scouts of the world award(SWA). We were informed that in the past there were (MDG’S) millennium development goals in 2016 and many other such goals. They told us the plan to be accomplished by 2030. We were then told about the 2 main components of SWA. Later we were informed about the Patrimonito badge that is an initiative to empower young people with the knowledge to protect the heritage of the world. Patrimonito related SDG’S are 4,11 and 17...we can contribute to these SDG’s.
WEBINAR NO.6(18th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. We had a talk on Dialogues of peace which included respect, promote and practice & Educate. We were also told that peace is not absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle peace by peaceful means. Then we had a talk on Identity which included our qualities, beliefs, personality, looks, expressions, etc. Then we had a talk on principle of dialogues, its ground rules, SDGs related and the Badges related to it.
WEBINAR NO.7(19th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. We were then given a talk on Diversity and Inclusion by Mr. Peter. He told us the various aspects of diversity and also embedded his thoughts in us by doing some easy activities. We were also told about how prejudices affect the decisions we made and how do we start using prejudices. Later on we were told about the scouts go Solar badge. We Were told the whole process and also about the toolkits and also given a little brief/recap on Earth tribe.
WEBINAR NO.8 (20th August 2020)
The session was started by few introductory speeches from officials from the headquarters from Bharat Scouts and Guides. The programme was started by ms. luz taray who told us about what STORY -TELLING is and how is it important in the scouting community .She then went ahead and told us the rules to posting a story on scout.org .Then we had Kenny Ralph Fernando tell us how to post a story on scout.org and the difference between a post and a project. We were told that the tone of the story should be empowering and lifting rather than dull and doom to encourage readers all over the world. Then we were told about the storytelling fits into the bigger picture in 5 steps .We were told about the basic do's and don'ts while writing a story that they were expecting. We were told what photos are recommended to be put in a story.
