"You smile, we smile"

"You smile, we smile"

An old man ( to what we estimated to be in late seventies) lives in a pathetic condition in locality named Bukay, Samtse ( 3hrs walk from main town). He has relatives but everyone seems botherless as they have left him to live a miserable life. Although he owns a house, everything inside is dusty and unhygienic for human to dwell in. He cooks meals for himself though the scouts of the community schools seldom helps him at collection fire woods. Since he does not possess cultivated lands, he basically depends upon the vegetables contributed by the teachers of the community school. It was such a heart wrenching scene to see an aged man wearing slim shirt and pant at this time of harsh and cold winter weather. He said that whenever the sun sets, he has to get ready with the firewoods. So we having taken oath during our leadership training to help the needy ones took the initiative to reach out to then old man along with some generous volunteers. Some of us cleared the messed up room, made a temporary window glass and door while few of us entertained him to sun bathing. He was so happy to receive some clothes that he warmed our hearts with grateful smile. Moreover, we even contributed some rice and vegetables along with some utensils to him. In the end, we all had our lunch together and even cooked him his dinner in advance. The departure was tough since the tears in his eyes spoke thousands of gratitude and pain as well. This was the least we could do but the happiness we got after doing this was inexpressible. #smallthingsmakesagreatdifference (A very heart pinching moments can be mitigated by such act of kindness.)
