In conjunction with the International Day of Peace on 21st September 2019, Kerian District Agung Rovers has taken the initiative to celebrate World Peace Month by organizing the World Peace Month Run For Peace at SMK Bagan Serai, Bagan Serai, Perak, Malaysia. The main objective of this event is to introduce and educate participating scouts to the Messenger of Peace initiative.

          On 29th September 2019, a total of 73 participants gathered at SMK Bagan Serai, which consisted of 26 Junior Scouts, 30 Senior Scouts, 12 Rovers and 5 Scout Leaders.

At 8:00 a.m., we started with a stretching and aerobic session to warm up the participants' bodies before the run. At 8:30 a.m., the World Peace Month Run For Peace was flagged off by Assistant District Commissioner in charge of Rovers Unit of Kerian District, Mr Yusri Bin Hamidun.

          Participants ran along the road of Kampung Parit Haji Ismail which is surrounded by a scenic view of paddy fields. Station games were carried out at an area in a palm oil plantation. All participants managed to complete the run by 9:00 a.m.

          The closing ceremony for World Peace Month Run For Peace commenced at 11:00 a.m., with the arrival of guests of honour, Mr Abdul Ghani Bin Yahya, Senior Assistant in charge of Co-curricular Activities of SMK Bagan Serai and Mr Azzat Bin Habibullah, District Commissioner of Kerian District.

The closing ceremony of World Peace Month Run For Peace was officiated by Mr Azzat Bin Habibullah. Then, Messenger of Peace badges and Certificates of Participation were presented to all participants by Mr Abdul Ghani Bin Yahya and Mr Azzat Bin Habibullah. Finally, the World Peace Month Run For Peace ended off with a group photography session.
