DAY 1 - MAY 15, 2017 AFTERNOON (1500H to 1700H) At exactly 1500H of May 15, 2017, we started our ocular inspection in the Municipality of Tinambac starting from Barangay SalvacionPoblacion to Barangay Filarca. Since it was town fiesta there, we make sure that we are well aware of the vicinity to protect ourselves in any possible hazard and risk. As we roam around the municipality, we are able to interview Mrs. Juntado and her friends where they shared some knowledge about the Municipality of Tinambac and how education is important to its people. They told us that there are visible number of street kids in their area that just keep on doing nothing on summer. And it makes us more determined to start our program because we want to change more lives. We spent two hours by casual walking and talking to people while having a bit of introduction of our “WALKATHON” Library. EVENING (1900H to 2300H) We made our evening so productive. At exactly 1900H, we started working with our book and our teaching techniques. The books that we have were personally provided by ourselves, coming from own resources. We categorized the books on its appropriateness of the children that we are about to teach. The story books for the little kids and a little more complicated books like math and science books to the older kids. This is to assure that what we are teaching is suitable to the age of the children. After categorizing the books, we then prepare visual aids for the children. We printed pictures and cut our letters for better teaching process After that, we put all the learning materials in our box and we finished our session at exactly 2300H and we are up for the next day’s ventures.
