Together we tidy
We observed many students actively participating in cleaning campaigns within their own schools as well as in other public places. These activities inspired us to take part in a similar initiative as a part of the Sharibu assessment. We felt that maintaining a clean and healthy environment is an important responsibility of every individual, especially students, as it contributes to a better learning environment and promotes a sense of responsibility towards our community.
As part of our assessment, we decided to organize a cleaning campaign in two schools: Mothithang Higher Secondary School and Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School. We chose these schools because we wanted to contribute to keeping the school surroundings clean, safe, and pleasant for both students and teachers. During the campaign, we planned to clean different areas of the schools, including the classrooms, playgrounds, corridors, compounds, and other areas where waste had accumulated.
Through this activity, we hoped not only to make the school premises cleaner but also to encourage students to understand the importance of cleanliness and proper waste management. We believe that small efforts, when carried out together, can create a meaningful impact on the community. The cleaning campaign also gave us an opportunity to work as a team, develop cooperation and responsibility, and contribute positively to the schools and the wider community.
Overall, the cleaning campaign at Mothithang Higher Secondary School and Jigme Namgyel Lower Secondary School was planned as a meaningful activity under the Sharibu assessment. It allowed us to put our ideas into action while promoting cleanliness, teamwork, community service, and environmental awareness among students. :::
