Our project started from 20th August and ended on 29th September. Everyday we spent about five hours after school visiting offices and houses to ask for donations. Project was for a period of 32 days. We started our project due to the inspiration of Sir Ngawang Gyeltshen the NSO MOP coordinator during his presentation at one of the schools. Our project was held in Dechenphu, Thimphu were we helped 49 people. Our group consisted of 5 members including myself. We are all from Dr.Tobgyal school and from grade 8. The mothers worked as sweepers with the monthly salary of Nu.6,500/-. During this project, we collected Nu.15,000/-, with that we provided clothes, shoes, toys, toiletries and kitchen utensils. We also cooked lunch for them. This place was located in an area where no one has taken noticed of and we were happy that we could extend help in our own small ways. We gave a name to our project as "Ticket to Life" because we believe that as messenger of peace, we can improve lives of others.
