Serving the community though waste management
I was motivated to help keep Samtse Dzongkhag clean during the Tsechu and protect our natural environment. As a Scout, I wanted to contribute to the community, promote proper waste disposal, and encourage visitors to maintain cleanliness throughout the religious celebration. Through this service, I hoped to support a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere while demonstrating the Scout values of responsibility, teamwork, and selfless service.
As Scouts, we helped maintain cleanliness during the Tsechu in Samtse Dzongkhag by collecting litter, placing waste bins in suitable locations, and guiding visitors to dispose of rubbish responsibly. Through teamwork and dedication, we contributed to a cleaner event environment and encouraged the public to develop better waste management habits and greater environmental awareness.
Through this experience, I developed a stronger sense of teamwork, discipline, and responsibility towards the environment. I gained a better understanding of how proper waste disposal helps maintain a clean and healthy community. This activity also strengthened my commitment to serving others and upholding the values of a responsible Scout.
