Saving Dogs life one donation at a time

I’ve always loved animals, ever since I was a baby. In the past, I’ve focused on helping people in need—organizing a coat drive for kids and later a stuffed animal drive. This year, I wanted to do something different and help those who can’t help themselves. Since I love animals, I decided to support local rescues that take in dogs. I thought it would be a great way to make a difference by collecting donations to help provide food, medical care, and supplies for these rescues.

I had my mom start posting on social media about what I was doing and what I was collecting. I thought it would be great to host an event where a local rescue could bring dogs in need of homes, giving people the chance to adopt while also dropping off donations. I reached out to our local Grocery Outlet, and they were more than happy to partner with us. We also brought in vendors and even had Santa and the Grinch there for photos with visitors. The event was a huge success!

learned that no matter how small or young you are, if you set your mind to something and work hard, you can make it happen. I can’t believe I was able to put together this event and help so many dogs. I’m also incredibly grateful to live in such a wonderful town where people step up to support one another.
