Rovers in Action for Hygiene in World Tourism Day
Our main inspiration came from our commitment to the core value of Rover Scouting service to others. We aimed to create a clean and humane environment for everyone, including the kean bridge,Ali amzad's clock and those nearby. We believe that even a small effort can bring comfort and dignity to someone's life. This belief motivated us to take action.
We conducted a clean-up at Kean bridge,DC office,Ali amzad's clocks and nearby with our Sylheg Zilla Rover Scouts, targeting roadsides, footpaths, and nearby public spaces. In small groups, we collected trash, removed plastic waste, and raised community awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental protection, improving the landmark’s appearance and promoting responsible waste disposal.
Throughout this project, we learned the importance of teamwork, community involvement, and consistent effort in keeping public spaces clean. We realized that tackling plastic pollution requires both action and awareness. Small actions, when done collectively, can create a big positive impact. Raising awareness is essential to inspire others to take responsibility for their surroundings and to work together for a plastic-free, cleaner Sylhet.
