Refugee Friendship Project

To create better linkages with the local refugee community we organised a "Friendship" hike that was attending by young refugees and the cubs and scouts of 1st Oatley Bay Sea Scouts group. We took the kids on a 3 hour bushwalk in the Royal National Park and played a variety of group games to help the kids to get to know each other. After the success of the day we plan to do more hikes and hope to find other ways to get young refugees involved with scouting.
