Positive Mind, Healthy Future
Adolescence is a time when young people experience many emotional and social changes, yet mental health and emotional well-being are not always openly discussed. We wanted to create a safe and engaging opportunity for students to better understand their emotions, express themselves, and learn healthy ways to cope with stress.
We implemented the project with students aged 13–15 at School No. 92 in Ulaanbaatar. The activities combined mental health awareness sessions with interactive and creative exercises. Participants discussed emotional well-being, stress, positive communication, and ways to support themselves and their peers.
We learned that young people engage more openly with mental health topics through creative and interactive activities. Drawing and canvas painting helped participants express their emotions in a comfortable way. We also learned the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for adolescents.
