"New Home” for IDP children in Ukraine

During 2016 and 2017 the national Organization of Scouts of Ukraine was running huge project for IDP children, who’s families escaped from territory of war. The aim of the project “New home” was to socialize children in new places in Kyiv, to help them to integrate to the local community. During 2017 year I was manager of the second part of project. During 2017 year it included winter and summer camps for IDP children from Kyiv, Kyiv region and Odessa region. We included this children in Scout camps and met them with Scout movement. During the 2017 year they had opportunity to have meeting in Scout center of the group Vidrada doing different activities and finally some of them joined Scout movement During all project period it included about 600 IDP children, who had opportunity to fill the part of new local communities and about 30 of them joined Scout movement. We really hope that this project helped children to feel home and new big family.
