MOP TEAM PAKISTAN GATHERING (PHASE-II) Pakistan Boy Scout Association (PBSA) organized MoP Team-Pakistan Gathering (Phase-II) at Scouts Global Village, National Headquarters in Islamabad – Pakistan from 20-24 May, 2017. Phase-II was the continuation of 1st MOP Team Pakistan Gathering to promote MoP network in the Pakistan as well as in the Region. 50 Participants represented 10 branches of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association while 03 from Afghanistan Scouts Association participated in this workshop. Most of the participants were representing their Branches as the Provincial Coordinators of MOP. Opening Ceremony was held on 20th May, 2017 and Sr. Dy. Chief Commissioner, PBSA Hafiz Tariq Mahmood was the Chief Guest. He welcomed all the participants from Pakistan as well as from Afghanistan and ensured his full support for the promotion of MOP activities and other initiatives of Better World Framework in Pakistan and in Region as well. Regional Director WSB/APR, Mr. J.R. Pangilinan especially came to witness the gathering. Shree Prassanna Shrivasta WSB/APR, Uzair Kamal and Mr. Bernando de Leon Deputy National Programme Commissioner for Community-Based Scouting of BSP especially came to facilitate the organizing team. During the Gathering a field visit was also organized in Islamabad College for Boys (ICB), Islamabad where about 200 youth registered themselves on MOP Network. Before the registration participants were distributed in 05 equal groups which were taken care by the MOP Team. Movie Show, Network Game, Alele song, Mop Registration, etc were practiced during this field visit. At the end, souvenirs were also distributed amongst the youth participated in this field visit. PEACE-MAN Peace-man of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association was also launched and special Peace-man Masks were also presented to each participant and staff to make it a symbol of Peace to motivate for good turns. Idea has been initiated by the Pakistan Scouts which was presented during the gathering. Mr. J.R.C. Pangilinan, Regional Director APR/WSB also appreciated the idea. Closing Ceremony was held on 24th May, 2017 in which Hafiz Tariq Mahmood, Sr. Dy. Chief Commissioner, PBSA presented Certificates & Souvenirs to all the participants and the staff. Diplomats from Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad and Regional Director WSB/APR also graced the ceremony with their presence.
