Our Joeys & Cubs over 3 weeks made teddy bears with the assistance of adult leaders. The Joeys & Cubs stuffed the teddies and sewed them closed. Each teddy had a love heart or the words 'HOLD ME'. They were made from all different materials allowing for individuality. After the teddies were completed, my Cubs & our Joeys paid a visit to the local Ambulance command where they were taken through the Ambulance and shown what happens when a patient is transported. The Joeys & Cubs were shown different apparatus that is used on potential patients. After the visit, there was a small presentation, where the completed teddy bears (80 in all) were handed over. This was greatly appreciated by the Commander In Charge.
