World White Cane Day was celebrated on 15th October.30 aged and orphan blind people were invited for a short programme to our school by scout troop.They were felicitated by our scouts and guides and were entertained with refreshments and interaction.With regard to the project 51 persons [ 20 scouts,5 formal scouts,10 parents,16 staff members of school ] volunteered to donate their eyes for the cause.They also were felicitated.....Awareness regarding eye donation was highlighted by a rally ,through our town in which the aged blind,the scouts and guides participated.We also distributed eye donation information sheet and eye donation form in society and appeal to donate their eyes.At the end of the rally aged blind people show some demonstration about how they cross the road by using white cane.
