Kalayaan 2019: Tapang ng Bayan, Malasakit sa Mamamayan
80 Senior Scouts and 40 Rover Scouts from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Eastern Visayas Region, Tacloban City Council join the nationwide celebration of the 121st Philippine Independence Day at the Tacloban City Hall Grounds, Tacloban City on June 12, 2019.
As these scouts and scouters, lead by Council Scout Executive Emmanuel Naval, gather to witness one of the most significant events in Philippine History, together with the employees, staff and heads of the city government and its offices, as well as the government and non-government organizations such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the local Traffic Operation Management Enforcement and Control Office (TOMECO), Alternative Channel Coordinating Emergency Support Services-5, Inc. (ACCESS-5 inc.), and representatives of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) to name a few, a mass was held at 0500H at the Sto. Niño Church. At 0630H, participants gathered by the City Hall Grounds to witness the Flag raising ceremony, headed by the Philippine National Police.
At 0700H, the Philippine Flag was raised with honor, pride, fervor, patriotism and love, as it has been for the past 121 years of Philippine History.
