Kea Scouts (6-7) all around New Zealand participated in this years' International Peace Day! Sharing in cultural diversity to promote peace, Kea Clubs celebrated the day by cooking and eating foods, as well as playing games from different cultures and countries. As part of the national programme, an estimated 3,000 keas and 1,000 leaders took part in this for on average 1.5 hours. This is the first recognized involvement of SCOUTS New Zealand in the International Peace Day celebrations. Future years will be expanded and implemented into all other sections in SCOUTS.
