His Majesty the fifth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck was born on 21st February, 1980 to Jigme Singye Wangchuck, fourth king of Bhutan, and Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck . This means that he is now 40 years old. He is the present king of Bhutan. Every year Bhutanese celebrate HM's birthday on 21 February and the following two days are marked as government holiday. During the celebration, cultural items along with some interesting activities are performed voluntarily and everyone enjoys it.
