Hands for the Community

The inspiration came from both the need to repair the community’s damaged infrastructure and the opportunity to instill teamwork, service, and responsibility in the scouts.
On 13th September, 40 scouts of Depheling Primary School carried out a community service activity that began with roadside cleaning and road maintenance at a teacher’s residence. The main task was the successful construction of a footpath leading to a teacher’s home through the paddy field. The activity not only met community needs but also nurtured in the scouts the values of teamwork, responsibility, and service.
Through this project, I learned the importance of teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, and problem-solving, as well as the value of serving the community and making a meaningful impact through collective effort.
