Today on 2 October, 2020 Bharat Scouts and Guides, Unit Udhampur organised a programme on the eve of 151th Birth Anniversary of Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti. The programme started with lightening traditional lamp by all the dignities and all recite All Faith Prayer under the Guidance of Former District Training Commissioner, Veena Sharma and paid tribute to Gandhi ji & Lal Bahadur Shastri ji by the Chief Guests Shekh Anayat Ullah (Distt. Secretary), and Smt Renu Sharma Principal (BVM HS Udhampur).On this occasion, Member of Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti Sh. Nek ram Sharma ji was also present.Sh. Jeevan Kumar Scout Master was sStage Secretary of this occasion.Scouts Master Amar Dev Singh,Rakesh Sharma, Dr Khem Raj, staff member and students of the school were also present. After this cleanliness drive launched in the school under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Campaign and then Marathon was organised with a message of Fit India Movement in which student and Others participated. Shekh Anayat Ullah,District Secretary expressed his views and said that All Faith Prayer was organized on this auspicious day to make the younger generation aware of the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.He further said that these kinds of events instill a sense of unity among the younger generation and the spirit of patriotism is also strong in them. Smt. Renu Sharma ji (Principal) said that we should not only celebrate birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi ji and lal bhadhur sashtri ji but also learn and act upon their life experiences. Scout Master Awar Dev Singh and Rakesh Sharma share their views on on the biography of both the great men. There is a need to learn, understand and imbibe the life ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
