Flood Relief Effort by Kedah Rover Scout.

On August 2021, a severe mud flood has washed up almost half of the property in Yan, Kedah. The incident is very sudden and there was a huge loss to the community. As scout, we were called to help and ease the burden of the mud victim with our main motto "to serve".
Before we went to help in Yan, Kedah. We seek help from a scout that lived in the affected place and gain as much data and information that we can before we executed our plan. We also partner with a local government organisations to seek out what we can do to help. After that, we started to plan and budget before we join to help.
Our project has helped to clear out 2 schools in Yan district, which is SK Langkasuka, Yan and SMK Yan, Yan. Besides, we also help the local government to clean Kampung Acheh Management Center and Seri Perigi which this two place is known as a recreational park. On the other hand, with help from Scout from Pahang, Malaysia, we manage to raise RM10 000 funds to help the community. this fund is fully used to buy mattresses, electrical appliances, and some food to be distributed to the locals.
In this mission, I learn to build networking with scouts all around Malaysia. Even we were in the middle of the pandemic, the teamwork in scouting is never fade. Besides, this mission also helps me to be more caring toward nature. The deforestation that happens in Yan has contributed to the mud flood that affected so many people.
