Every drop of vitamin is a life-saving shield.
I was inspired to volunteer with the Vitamin ‘A’ Plus campaign as a Rover Scout because I believe that every child deserves a healthy start. Ensuring access to essential vitamins is crucial, and the experience of being a Rover Scout has instilled in me the value of helping others and making a positive impact in my community.
As a Rover Scout and volunteer, I led the ‘A Plus's campaign by distributing Vitamin ‘A’ capsules to children at Batiaghata Upazila Hospital in Khulna. I, along with two other Rovers from my unit, participated in this one-day campaign. We provided capsules to more than 300 children and shared health information with their parents, so that no child is left behind.
From the Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign project, I learned the importance of well-organized teamwork, effective communication, and community participation in public health initiatives. I gained valuable experience in coordinating logistics, interacting with diverse groups of people, and educating parents about the health benefits. This project has further strengthened the impact of volunteerism in improving community health and highlighted the need for ongoing public health education and support.
