Earth Hour 2026: One Hour for Earth
I was inspired to start this project after learning about the serious impacts of climate change and the global energy crisis. As a Rover Scout, I felt responsible to raise awareness through meaningful action. Earth Hour showed me that even a simple act like turning off lights for one hour can send a powerful message for the planet. Through this project, I aimed to encourage energy conservation, promote sustainable habits, and highlight the importance of collective action for a greener future.
The project was executed by raising awareness about Earth Hour and encouraging people to switch off non-essential lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Participants were informed about energy conservation and the importance of climate action through discussions and promotional activities. This initiative highlighted the role of individual action in supporting a sustainable future and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Throughout this project, I learned the importance of environmental awareness and energy conservation. I realized that small actions like Earth Hour can create a big impact when people join together. I also improved my communication skills and learned the value of responsibility and teamwork in creating positive change in the community.
