Door to Door Campaign(HIV/AIDS,Malaria & Diseases)
We were inspired by a spike in local dengue and malaria cases, realizing that while people feared these diseases, many didn't know they were fueling the risk right in their yards. Walking the streets with posters, we wanted to break through the apathy. Seeing stagnant water in coolers and pots made it urgent; we knew we had to knock on doors and physically demonstrate how easily breeding grounds can be stopped.
Gathering at 4 PM, we split into small teams and hit the streets with posters and pamphlets in hand. Walking door-to-door through 1st Avenue, we didn't just hand out paper; we stood with families to physically point out potential stagnant water breeding grounds. We demonstrated how to clear them, explained dengue symptoms, and left 20 families equipped with practical steps to protect their homes.
Walking the streets with posters and visual aids taught us that health education requires visual proof. Stepping into homes to physically point out hidden breeding grounds, like flowerpots and stagnant coolers, showed us that people overlook risks simply out of habit. We realized that passing out facts isn't enough; physically demonstrating prevention is what turns a lecture into a lifesaving habit.
