Community service at begana
I was inspired to take on this project by my strong desire to serve my community and contribute to the preservation of our culture. I wanted to do something meaningful that could benefit the people around me while also helping to protect the traditions, values, and heritage that make our community unique. Seeing how quickly culture and traditional practices can change over time motivated me to take action and find a way to preserve them for future generations. This project gave me an opportunity to combine my interest in helping my community with my passion for keeping our cultural identity alive.
I implemented my project at Begana Lhakhang, a place of cultural and spiritual significance to the local community. The project was carried out through community service, where I actively participated in maintaining and improving the surroundings of the lhakhang. I worked closely with community members and other participants, contributing through teamwork, cooperation, and shared responsibility. Being able to carry out the project at Begana Lhakhang allowed me to directly engage with the community while also contributing to the preservation and care of an important part of our cultural heritage. The experience helped me understand the importance of working together to protect and maintain places that hold value for present and future generations.
