Community Organic Waste Solution
Food waste is often thrown away without proper management, which can cause environmental problems. We wanted to introduce simple and practical solutions so the community can manage organic waste in a more sustainable way. This project focuses on helping the community manage organic food waste in a sustainable way. Scouts introduced two simple solutions: producing BioWash from fruit peels and creating a small organic waste disposal pit for food scraps.
Scouts worked together to create a community organic waste pit where food scraps can naturally decompose. They also demonstrated how fruit peels can be fermented into BioWash, an eco-friendly cleaning product. The activity included educating community members about separating organic waste and using simple recycling methods at home.
The project helped raise awareness about responsible waste management. Community members learned practical ways to reduce household waste and adopt more sustainable habits.
Scouts learned about environmental responsibility, teamwork, and sustainable waste management, while also gaining experience in community service.
