The concept of Youth Forum has been promoted by the World Organization of Scout Movement to create a platform for the young scouts to get together to meet new friends, share experiences- views on scouting and contribute new ideas to the Movement on how to enrich educational programs for young people. Colombo district has taken a giant step forward in scouting in Sri Lanka by initiating the first ever District Youth Forum for the Senior Scouts and Rover Scouts, from 27th February to 01st March 2015 at Meth Arana Center, Pore, Athurugiriya. The Organizers invite each Scout Group to join hands with COLOMBO SCOUT YOUTH FORUM 2015 and gain this great exposure while expanding each other’s network. Each scout Troop or Rover Crew can send two official representatives and one observer to the Youth Forum. Also one of those representatives will get the privilege of being elected to the inaugural COLOMBO SCOUT YOUTH COUNCIL and represent the District at the National Youth Forum due in July 2015.
