On dated 21 Sept. 2015 Rovers & Rangers unit of JLN GC Haripur (Manali) celebrated the International Peace Day. Group Leader (Principal) Dr. P.P. Kaistha was the chief guest of the day. Function started with the scout prayer at 10 AM. Each Rover and Ranger placed their words on Peace Day. Rover Leader Prof. Jyoti Charan given brief speech on the principles of Ahimsa led by Mahatma Budh and Mahatma Gandhi. Main Features of the day were as .... It was decided on Peace Day that: 1. Rovers & Rangers unit of the college will celebrate whole month as Peace Month. 2. Rovers & Rangers unit will collect the donation (money)for the needy and poor people. 3. Rovers & Rangers will work for one Orphan Home of the city. 4. Rovers & Rangers unit will collect old or new clothes,shoes,school bags, blankets etc. from the people of the valley. 5. Rovers & Rangers unit spend one day in orphan home to make the orphan kids or children's happy (by playing etc.). For above mentioned work every R/R will be independent leader of his or herself(For collection of money and clothes) This celebration ended with words of thanks given by Ranger leader Dr. Kavita Katoch at 4PM.
