Celebrating International day of peace by conducting various projects.

Aim and Objective: the main objective of our project was to promote awareness on climate change issues mainly focusing on use of plastics in our daily lives. Location: class 7, St Xavier’s school, Godavari Though Plastics give a helpful hand, but they are polluting our land! On 17th sept, 2019, Thursday, as a part of project Plastic Minimization, a workshop on Plastic Minimization was held at St Xavier’s school, Godavari. Students from grade 7 actively participated in the program. The program was conducted by some students from class 10 The program started with the introduction of organizing team followed by presentation about the plastics and its impact upon human health and environment.  The topics which were discussed with the targeted audience included: What is plastic Effects of plastic How use of plastics affects human health How use of plastic hampers environment How can we reduce use of plastics in our day to day life Use of 5R s in our daily life 5rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse and Repair We presented our own views and some news that we collected from social media and newspapers. Teaching was conducted in an interactive manner whereby the audience was lectured and following the lectures were discussions which included questions and answers. Workshop was also conducted. Our school administration provided us this wonderful opportunity to conduct awareness program, express our views and to conduct workshop We had great a time while explaining the audience about side effects of plastics and making bags out of old tshirts. . We tried our level best to aware the audience through pledge. Also the audience were very wonderful and cooperative. The outcome of the workshop was very fruitful.
