This year, the scouts from Pack/Troop 806 in Houston, TX, USA assisted the residents of Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services retirement center to celebrate the 8th night of Hanukkah. The focus was on the "Personal" dimension of the Messengers of Peace initiative, aiming at promoting a sense of harmony for the residence during this festive holiday. For the event, each of the scouts created 5 Hanukkah cards, and brought them to the center to distribute to the residents. The scouts and leader also lit the Menorah with several key figures in the Houston Jewish community, and sang holiday songs. We all had a great time, and can't wait to do it again next year!
